Advising Services
Please note with all services, once we reach capacity, the list will be shut down. Please monitor this site for closure of services. Your GRCC Google account will be required to sign up.
- Ask an Advisor (Grand Rapids and Lakeshore Campus): Once you are on campus, you should fill out the FORM to get your name on the list and wait to be seen. Please see the schedule grid listed under "Check Availability" for the locations for Ask an Advisor services at the Grand Rapids Campus. Once on the list, wait near the location as advisors will come out and call your name when it is your turn to been served.
- Text Advising: Send us a text message at (616) 404-0044 during the designated hours, and an advisor will answer your advising questions via text. Please realize two advisors are assisting many students at the same time. Please provide as much information as possible in the initial text and be patient.
- Phone Advising: To get on the phone advising list, fill out the Phone Ask an Advisor Form during the times for express advising. You will fill out the intake form and your name will join the list. The advisors will serve students in the order they appear on the list. **Form is only open while phone advising is actively happening**
- Academic Plan: Fill out the Academic Plan Request Form, and an advisor will send you a unique and tailored class plan for the winter semester just for you.
