The GRCC Champion Award recognizes individuals or organizations whose collaborative efforts have left an indelible mark on our institution, exemplifying the spirit of partnership, innovation and excellence.
Our 2024 award winner, Corewell Health, has been an invaluable partner to the college, demonstrating a commitment to both our institution and our students. Throughout the years, Corewell Health has provided clinical sites for nearly half of the students in many of our healthcare programs. They have partnered with faculty from the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education to help educate medical residents about culinary medicine. They have also employed students from the program to assist in teaching cooking skills and nutrition. They employ students in our groundbreaking Healthcare Apprenticeship programs, in which participants engage in hands-on work while also participating in classroom learning. Corewell Health also provides financial support through the Corewell Health Healthcare Education Professionals Scholarship, which is awarded during a student’s final year of the program to help complete their studies.
Corewell Health works tirelessly to leverage their resources, expertise and influence to champion and amplify our impact within the community. Together, we are serving West Michigan and beyond with quality healthcare professionals and services.
