Student Orientation

What to expect from us

At orientation, we will give a presentation about GRCC and things to know as an incoming college student. We will also help you register for your fall and winter classes based on recommendations created for you by your academic advisor.

What we need from you

We must have English placement scores at least one week prior to your session. We will accept SAT/ACT scores, Accuplacer scores or college transcripts with at least 12 college credits. Please note that if we do not receive these scores on time, we will have to cancel your session.

New Student Checklist

Tips for virtual sessions:

  • Tech: if possible, you should join the Zoom call on a laptop or computer. It can be difficult to see the presentation and navigate the registration system via a mobile device.
  • Be on time: we will start the session promptly at the given time. If you join too late, you may not be permitted into the session and will have to reschedule.
  • Update your Zoom name: please ensure your Zoom name matches the name we have on file for you.

Please note: These sessions are intended for new students enrolling for Winter 2024 courses. If you wish to enroll for Summer 2024 or Fall 2024 semesters, please follow back to this website in late March.
