The Office of the Registrar Student Assistant performs clerical and customer service duties to support the professional staff. This role requires professionalism, confidentiality in adherence with FERPA guidelines, and a commitment to providing high-quality service in alignment with the College’s values. The Student Assistant will demonstrate flexibility, a willingness to learn, adaptability to change, and maintain current technology skills while contributing to the efficient operation of the office.
DESCRIPTION
▪ Professionally answer phone calls and respond to emails in the Office of the Registrar inbox, addressing requests and inquiries promptly and accurately.
▪ Assist walk-in visitors seeking Office of the Registrar services, including graduation, transfer credit, program changes, and other academic processes, providing guidance and connecting them to appropriate resources.
▪ Deliver excellent customer service by offering clear and detailed information about the Office of the Registrar.
▪ Maintain knowledge of services provided by other College departments to ensure proper referral of inquiries.
▪ Process outgoing official transcripts, sort and mail documents, and perform document management, including scanning and electronic file processing.
▪ Collaborate with staff and other student assistants to support efficient office operations, particularly during peak periods.
▪ All other duties as assigned by supervisor
▪ Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
▪ Provide excellent customer service
▪ Comfortable learning and using new technologies, including student information systems and document management tools.
▪ Strong computer and internet proficiency, including accurate and efficient data entry.
▪ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
▪ Experience engaging with individuals from diverse age groups, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds
▪ Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented office environment
▪ Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
▪ Must project professional image in manner and attire at all times
▪ Regular attendance and punctuality are expected.
