5-20 hours (M-F, days & times are flexible)
• Provide small group/individual peer tutoring.
• Report on a regular basis to the tutoring office the progress of the tutoring sessions for each student tutored.
• Work collaboratively with the professors of students who are tutored to determine materials and select methods of approach when needed.
• Attend scheduled training sessions/workshops/in-services.
• Keep Complete records of each tutoring session.
• Completion of courses tutored with a grade of B (3.0) or higher in at least one of the subject areas within the Social and Behavioral Sciences (Anthropology, Economics, Gender Studies, Geography, Global and International Studies, History, International Relations, Neuroscience, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology)
• Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and solve learning problems
• Flexibility
• Instructor Recommendation (tutoring office will assist the student applicant with this process)
