The voice of GRCC's student body. Student Government serves as the intermediary between the student body and higher level college administration.

What does Student Government do?

We are students working with students, for students, updating you on things like policy changes, campus climate, requests and allocations regarding the campus activities budget, and current social initiatives to better support and encourage a more civic campus community and beyond. We act as a resource to students for personal and professional development and leadership to ensure a meaningful experience and education at Grand Rapids Community College.

Join a meeting — all are welcome!

During the Fall/Winter semesters, Student Government hosts bi-weekly Town Halls on Thursdays at 2 p.m. Check back for the updated schedule and join in!

Being a part of Student Alliance has really given me the opportunity to extend my knowledge on leadership, humility, and what it means to be a part of something bigger than myself. We always make it a priority that our whole team is accounted for and feel comfortable in their positions. I couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home!
