Years 2–4 are pivotal for tenure-track faculty. After the intensity of year one, this stage shifts from adjustment to clarifying your professional identity, building your portfolio, and pacing yourself strategically for tenure.
This session features a panel of recently tenured, associate, and full professors who will share candid insights on their professional journeys. The conversation is designed to be interactive. Faculty will have dedicated time to ask questions directly to the panel and the New Faculty Liaison, as well as participate in small-group discussions about the pressures, uncertainties, and goals that often emerge during this stage. Come prepared to reflect, ask honest questions, and leave with practical clarity for the years ahead.
