Culture Matters: Using Cultural Intelligence (CQ) to Enhance Intercultural Interactions

Student sitting outside the library

Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is an important skill for working effectively with students and colleagues in an increasingly diverse and dynamic campus environment. This two-hour interactive training will provide participants with an opportunity to explore their four CQ capabilities—Drive, Knowledge, Strategy, and Action—as well as their individual behavioral preferences. Through guided discussion and practical application, participants will consider how their CQ profile shows up in everyday interactions at GRCC and how it can support more inclusive, effective workplace relationships. The session will emphasize reflection, shared learning, and practical takeaways that can be applied in our work with students and colleagues as well is in our lives away from campus.

Workshop Format
In-person

Important note:  A CQ assessment is required prior to the session and will be shared with you upon registration. Please contact Melissa Ware for instructions/access to the CQ assessment.
