June 15, 2026
Michigan residents who are 25 or older could qualify for free or reduced college tuition through Michigan Reconnect. If you’ve heard about Reconnect, but aren’t sure where to start, then you should stop by the Roadshow hosted by GRCC’s Financial Aid Office.
Financial Aid and Admissions staff will be there to walk you through the financial aid process, help you fill out the FAFSA, complete applications and get you on your way to earning an associate degree or certificate. Plus, a short round of bingo or trivia could mean winning a new Yeti travel mug, portable Bluetooth speaker or wireless headphones.

I Want to Attend, What Should I Bring?
Michigan Reconnect applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). While the FAFSA alone does not determine Reconnect eligibility, it is a requirement if you want to receive aid from Michigan’s state programs.
If you’d like help completing the FAFSA, plan to bring your 2024 federal tax return and your social security card. We’ll walk through every step of the application. Don’t worry about bringing a computer, we’ll have laptops available to use.
