GRCC Foundation Board of Directors Excellence Scholarship

Two full-ride scholarships

Two full-ride scholarships will be awarded to one incoming high school senior from Kent County and one incoming high school senior from Ottawa County. This full-ride scholarship will pay tuition and fees associated with registered classes. If tuition and fees are already covered by other grants or scholarships, $1,500 will be awarded each semester to cover books, transportation, and other education-related expenses. This award is available for one full academic year - Fall 2024, Winter 2025 and Summer 2025. Students must maintain full-time enrollment (12 or more credits) during the fall and winter semesters to receive these scholarship funds. Summer enrollment is optional, however students wishing to use this scholarship in the Summer semester must be enrolled in 6 or more credits. This scholarship is not renewable for the next academic year. Students are encouraged to fill out the GRCC Foundation scholarship application to be considered for over 300 different scholarships.

Nomination criteria

High school counselors will nominate a high school senior based on the following criteria:

  • Class of 2024 senior, graduating from a high school in Kent or Ottawa county. 
  • Has been admitted to GRCC with the intent to attend Fall 2024 semester.

Selection

High School counselors from each school in Kent and Ottawa county may nominate one student from the 2024 graduating class. Your nominee should be selected based on the listed criteria and should represent your school well at GRCC.

Deadline

The deadline to turn in your nomination is Friday, March 15, 2024.
