Emily Pain

Dr. Pain is a tenured Assistant Professor of Sociology, and serves as Gender Studies Coordinator. She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University at Albany, SUNY with specialties in the areas of families and gender & sexuality. She has been teaching Sociology and Gender & Sexuality Studies courses since 2011. At GRCC she regularly teaches introductory courses in Sociology (SO251 Principles of Sociology and SO254 Social Problems) and the introductory Gender Studies course (GST200 Introduction to Gender Studies).
