Hi there, I'm Kathleen Neumann and my early childhood pathway has been a long and winding road. I earned my bachelor degree from Western Michigan University in an area totally unrelated to early child hood. Then after having children of my own and doing family childcare, I came back to GRCC to complete my child development course work and then went on to earn a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Western. I have worked in a variety of roles in early childhood over the years, including preschool teacher, site supervisor and in management level in the Early Head Start program. My current role here at GRCC is as the child Development Community liaison, which allows me to interact with all the early childhood programs here in Kent County. It is work I am honored to do. One of my passions is supporting individuals in reaching the goals they set for themselves where ever their early childhood journey takes them. On a personal level, I love being outdoors with family and friends; I enjoy gardening, hiking and getting to the big lake whenever possible.
