As the founding Director of the Center for High-Impact Experiences, I lead the strategy, development, and implementation of high-impact learning opportunities that support student success, belonging, and career readiness at Grand Rapids Community College. The center serves as a centralized hub for supporting initiatives including the Honors Program, Service Learning, Study Away, College-Sponsored Student Travel, Learning Communities, Undergraduate Research, and other emerging high-impact experiences across the institution.
Collaboration is central to my leadership approach. I regularly partner with faculty, academic leaders, and community and employer partners to strengthen the high-impact experiences ecosystems and expand opportunities for students; positioning GRCC as a regional and national leader in high-impact, student-centered education.
I am a proud GRCC alum and hold a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University. These experiences have shaped my commitment to equity, systems thinking, and collaborative leadership, and continue to inform my work building programs and partnerships that create meaningful, transformative opportunities for students.
