Ayres started as general manager at Flexco (known as Clipper Belt Lacer Co. until 2008) in 1997. She retired from the worldwide manufacturer of conveyor belt maintenance and cleaning equipment in 2013.
She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Western Michigan University.
Ayres and her husband, Jim, reside in Grand Rapids.
