Canvas
GRCC Canvas includes tools to help identify and address accessibility issues in courses:
- Ally Accessibility Checker: The primary accessibility checker in Canvas, providing feedback and guidance to improve the accessibility of course content.
- Canvas Rich Content Editor (RCE) Accessibility Checker: A built-in tool that helps identify accessibility issues while creating and editing Canvas content.
Document Accessibility Checkers
- PDF Accessibility Checker (PAC): A free tool that checks PDFs against WCAG and PDF/UA success criteria and generates a detailed accessibility report. (Windows only).
- Microsoft 365 Accessibility Checker: Built-in accessibility checking tools in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications to help create accessible content from the start. (Windows, macOS and web)
- Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility Checker: Accessibility features within Adobe Acrobat Pro that support reviewing and improving the accessibility of PDF documents. (Windows and macOS).
Color Contrast Checker
- WebAIM Color Contrast Checker: A simple tool for checking whether text and background color combinations provide enough contrast for readability.
- Colour Contract Analyser: This downloadable application for Windows and macOS helps users check foreground and background color contrast and includes an eyedropper tool for selecting colors from the screen.
