These courses are important because they let you experience Honors in action—building practical skills, exploring your transfer options, and strengthening your academic and professional readiness—all while earning credit that also counts toward your Honors completion requirements.

Academic Standing

  • Maintain a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the time of program completion

Recognition

Students who complete the Honors Program are recognized and celebrated in several special ways. Graduates are invited to the Academic Honors Recognition Reception, where they will receive an Honors Program medallion and formal completion certificate in the presence of their peers and guests. Each graduate also receives a personalized letter of recommendation from the Honors Program Director and leaves with a fully developed ePortfolio highlighting their academic, leadership, and professional achievements—powerful assets for transfer and career success. In addition, “Honors Program Completion” will be noted on their official transcript, and they will be recognized at Commencement and in event materials.
