A CoP is a facilitated group structured around a common area of interest in teaching and learning. These communities are committed to action and involvement for a semester or longer and are structured according to the needs of the group. Each community of practice produces meaningful work such as action research, course revisions, presentations, or substantive projects.
This session covers how to build successful communities of practice at GRCC. We will discuss some basic information and guidelines along with providing a few examples of CoPs that have been completed or are ongoing. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ideas and experiences with communities of practice to this session.
This is a HyFlex session with opportunities to attend virtually or in person.
