GRCC is governed by the board of trustees, which consists of seven members elected at large in biennial elections. The president of the college serves as an ex officio member of the board. The trustees serve without compensation for overlapping terms of six years. Trustees operate under the policy governance model. The board meets once a month in a public session.

Notice of Budget Session and Regular Meeting
The Grand Rapids Community College Board of Trustees will be holding a budget session on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 4:15 p.m.
A regular meeting will immediately follow the budget session.
Both meetings are open to the public under the Open Meetings Act, 267 and will be held in the board library on the 5th floor of Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall (RJF)
