Grand Rapids Community College welcomes Dr. Kathryn A. Rogalski as president. A lifelong advocate for the community college mission, Dr. Rogalski brings more than 25 years of experience serving students in roles ranging from faculty member and academic advisor to senior academic leader, Those experiences continue to shape her deeply student-centered approach to leadership.
Most recently, she served as vice president for academic affairs and workforce development at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College where she helped expand transfer pathways, strengthen employer partnerships and create opportunities that meet students where they are. Throughout her career, she has been guided by a simple belief: when education is accessible, supportive and high quality, it transforms lives.
As she begins her presidency at GRCC, Dr. Rogalski is focused first on listening and learning. She is committed to building strong relationships with students, faculty, staff and community partners — understanding their experiences, celebrating their work and learning how the college can continue to grow in ways that support student success.
Dr. Rogalski values collaboration, transparency and shared purpose. She believes meaningful progress happens when people feel heard and connected to a common mission. She is honored to serve GRCC and looks forward to strengthening the college’s impact across West Michigan.
