The Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission's 2023 Outstanding Preservation Project by a Group award went to GRCC for recent renovations to Steven C. Ender Hall and the Custer Alumni House.

GRCC posted a first round score of 314 and a second-round score of 319, with Drew Harrington leading the team with a 156. Harrington shot a 3-over par on Wednesday.

The tournament, which runs through Friday, May 26, is being held at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind.

Four Secchia Institute for Culinary Education students competed at the Johnson Space Center, met astronauts.

“I always had a desire to come back to GRCC to teach,” Emery said, “When a former boss referred me to this job, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity”.

GRCC's season included an MCCAA Northern Conference Championship with a 23-2 record, an MCCAA championship and a 35-14 overall record.

Jackman, now at CMU, won one the state's most prestigious amatuer tournaments.

Izzy Regner (20-5), who leads all NJCAA DII pitchers with 292 strikeouts, earned the save in game one before picking up the loss in the later game.

Izzy Regner (20-4), who now leads all NJCAA Division II pitchers with 278 strikeouts, took the loss giving up three earned runs while striking out five. 

“Job training is special because we offer so many opportunities for students to succeed,” Byrd said, “Our staff stand out because they are sincerely invested in the success of our students”.

Regner is one strikeout behind the national leader.

The golf team is the third GRCC team to earn a conference title this spring, following the baseball and softball squads.
