Academic Reading and Writing (ARW) is a 100 level course that focuses on developing and strengthening students' ability to effectively comprehend reading, writing, summarizing and analyzing college-level texts. It increases students’ confidence and improves their ability to successfully complete EN 101 and ARW in the same semester.
In addition to reviewing material from EN1 01, the ARW 100 class will preview material and build background knowledge and provide support for EN 101. Students will have several major essays to complete for both classes; the papers in ARW 100 are related to and expand on content and skills from EN 101.
- ARW classes are offered via in-person, online, and virtual formats.
- EN 101 classes are offered via in-person, hybrid, online, and virtual formats.
- These courses are co-requisites.
- They are only offered in a 14-week period per semester.
