Prepare for an Interview
Different employers interview in different ways. A first interview with a human resources representative is often used to pre-screen candidates to determine if they are qualified for the position. This can be by phone, online, or in person. A second interview often takes place with a hiring manager. This interview may include the same questions asked during pre-screening or more in-depth questions to define your fit for the position.
Interviewing is stressful, especially if you’ve never interviewed before or if you’re making a career change into a new industry. Thankfully, we have plenty of resources to help you prepare and practice.
Big Interview is an online platform that includes training courses and practice scenarios so you can build your skills and feel confident going into your next job or internship interview. Whether you’re applying for a job in education, health care or manufacturing, you can practice answering tough questions and build your interviewing skills.
Big Interview is free and available to all GRCC students. Log into MyGRCC and look for the “Big Interview” tile.
