We make it easy to transfer your credits in to GRCC.
The knowledge and experience that you carry with you to GRCC is why we evaluate a wide range of credits — from other college credit to military credits and industry credentials.
We welcome six types of credits
- Credits from another college or university
- Transfer test credit.
- Foreign transfer credit.
- Military Credit.
- Industry recognized credentials.
- Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit.
We evaluate all credits for transfer that are received at regionally accredited institutions. A grade of C or better must have been earned for the course.
Please note that credits transferred into GRCC:
- May take up to four weeks to process and verify. For enrollment purposes, please be aware of this timeline.
- Will be posted as transfer credit on your unofficial transcript.
- Will have a generic grade T, and do not impact the calculated GRCC grade point average.
- May be used toward both academic program (major) and graduation requirements.
Additionally, you must complete at least 15 credits at GRCC, in addition to any program and graduation requirements, to be awarded an associate degree.
Courses that are eligible for transfer into GRCC will be approved and posted on your transcript within four weeks of enrollment.
Have the American College Board send your official test scores to College Code 1254 (GRCC Student Records Office). Search for the name of the test provider in the TES database to see if your credit will transfer.
If you achieve the minimum test score indicated on each faculty-developed study guide, the Student Records Office will be notified and post the credit(s) to your transcript. Please note that Challenge Exam credit cannot be transferred to another institution.
Contact the testing service and have your official transcript sent to our Enrollment Center.
Visit ACE Credit Registry and Transcript System and have your official transcript sent to our Enrollment Center.
If you have received ACE coursework and credit from the McDonald's Corporation, follow these steps to transfer into GRCC.
