The Social and Behavioral Sciences Tutoring and Learning Center provides academic support for students taking classes in anthropology, economics, gender studies, geography, gerontology, history, political science, psychology, social work and sociology.
Drop-in tutoring is available during our open in-person hours for all courses within the social and behavioral sciences, but appointments are encouraged for the best support from tutors who have experience with the course you are taking. Tutoring appointments are free, can be held either in-person or virtually via Zoom, and can be scheduled through Navigate at myGRCC.
Summer 2026 Tutoring Hours
The Social and Behavioral Sciences Tutoring and Learning Center is located in Sneden Hall, Room 112 , next to the Sneden Cafe. Check our Canvas page for the most up-to-date information and services.
- Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (in-person or virtual)
- Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (virtual only, select courses)
Virtual or In-Person Appointments
Appointments can be scheduled from 24 hours up to 2 weeks in advance through Navigate (How to use Navigate).
To find out whether there are any same-day appointments available, you can email sbstlc@grcc.edu or visit us. To schedule an appointment:
- Make sure you are logged in to your MyGRCC account.
- Click the "Schedule Appointment" icon below and follow the prompts. You will be able to choose to meet with a tutor via Zoom or in person.
Check your student email account for appointment confirmation and additional instructions. If you need assistance accessing your student email account, contact IT Customer Support.
Tutoring Services
Tutoring services are available in a variety of courses and delivery formats. We encourage you to connect with our various subject-specific tutoring and learning center for support. Access to Canvas resources, including Zoom meeting rooms, are provided by each subject-specific tutoring and learning center.
