Dual Enrollment Students

While earning your high school diploma, you can:

• Earn college credit at little or no cost.
• Meet high school graduation requirements by taking college courses.
• Experience higher education academics to help you prepare for college.
• Finish college sooner.

Check with your high school counselor to discuss the fees they cover for Dual Enrollment students.

Eligibility 

You are eligible if you are:

• Enrolled in at least one high school class and pursuing a high school diploma.
• Must have established a High School transcript & GPA.
• Approved by their high school counselor/administrator.
• Able to meet GRCC prerequisites for college courses.

Dual Enroll Application and Registration

Step 1 - Meet with High School Counselor to discuss course options and the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA)

Step 2 - Complete the Online Application

Applications are free and accepted anytime.

To have the most class options, please submit your application by April 15 for Fall Semester and Oct. 15 for Winter Semester.

Step 3 - Submit Transcripts and Approval Forms

Please send two documents to dualenrollment@grcc.edu:

• High school transcripts
• Signature approval form

Step 4 - Placement Tests and Submitting SAT and AP Scores

Submit Your SAT Scores

SAT scores can be submitted via the Online Center once admitted.

1. Login to your MyGRCC account.
2. Select GRCC Online Center.
3. Select Academic Records.
4. Select “Send files to Admissions.”

AP Scores

Your AP scores may qualify you for college credit, allowing you to bypass certain courses. To see which colleges offer credit or placement for AP scores, use the AP Credit Policy Search.

• Submit a Prerequisite Waiver Form.
• Send official AP scores to GRCC. Ensure that the College Board sends your official AP scores directly to GRCC.
