Time to Associate Degree

Most Grand Rapids Community College programs require 60 credit hours to earn an associate degree, which takes around two years. This timeline can flex depending on how many classes you take per semester.

 To complete your degree in... 

  • 2 Years - take 5 courses (15 credits) per semester 
  • 3.5 Years - take 3 courses (9 credits) per semester 
  • 5 Years -  take 2 courses (6 credits) per semester

Consistently taking at least 15 credits per semester will help you complete your degree on time and stay on track to start your career or transfer to a four-year college or university of your choice!
