Walk-In Testing Available at Main Campus

Please note that both the ALEKS and English tests are available to complete online from home. 

• A photo ID is required. 
• If you use the testing center on Main Campus, no appointment is needed. 
• Testing at the Lakeshore location is available by appointment only.

Testing Location and Hours

Main Campus

Student Center (SCC), Room 325

Convenient access to the Testing Center is available through the Student Center entry doors. These doors are labeled 13A and 13B, and are located on the corner of Lyon St. and Ransom St.

If you prefer to make an appointment for your placement test on Main Campus, please sign up through Academic Testing Services.

Lakeshore Campus

Open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Building address: 12335 James Street, Holland, MI 49424

Please check in at Room 101.

Additional Information

• To test remotely:
  • The English test can be accessed through Canvas.
  • The ALEKS test is available in your Online Center under the "Test Placement" tile.
• To test on-campus:
  • Please be sure to bring a photo ID to show the test proctor before you take your test(s).
  • The ALEKS test requires about 90 to 120 minutes, while the English test has a fixed 50-minute time limit.
  • Free parking is available the day you take your test(s).
  • Children are not allowed in the testing area, nor can they be left unattended on campus.
