Who is eligible?

Age Requirement

  • 19 years or older

Residency Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylum
  • Resident of West Michigan
    • Allegan County
    • Barry County
    • Ionia County
    • Kent County
    • Lake County
    • Mason County
    • Mecosta County
    • Montcalm County
    • Muskegon County
    • Newaygo County
    • Oceana County
    • Osceola County
    • Ottawa County

Other Eligibility Criteria (required to meet one of the following):

  • Low-income guidelines as defined by the U.S. department of Education
  • First-generation college students (where neither parent(s) nor legal guardian has a bachelor degree).
  • Have a documented disability

Individuals We Commonly Support

TRIO EOC has specialized support and services designed for eligible learners who:

  • Are military veterans
  • Have not yet completed a high school diploma or equivalency
  • Are unemployed or underemployed
  • Speak a primary language other than English 
  • Have experienced foster care or aged out of the foster care system
