Domestic Partner Program

Health Coverage Waiver
Employees that are enrolled in other medical coverage and do not need to elect a Grand Rapids Community College group health plan may choose to waive health insurance coverage with the required documentation. Employees waiving health coverage must complete Health Coverage Waiver Form and provide proof of other coverage, sending all documentation to hrbenefits@grcc.edu. Employees that waive health coverage will continue to be eligible to enroll in the GRCC dental and vision reimbursement plan.
Please note: You must submit a new waiver form and proof of other health insurance coverage within the 31 days allowed for new hires. Employees are required to complete the waiver of health coverage form and provide proof of other health insurance coverage on an annual basis.

By registering for your online member account, you can easily manage your health benefits anytime, anywhere. Access and download your digital ID card, track your deductible and out-of-pocket expenses, and review your claims history along with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). We are excited to announce Livongo for Diabetes, a new health benefit being offered at no cost to you. The Livongo for Diabetes Program makes living with diabetes easier by providing you with a connected meter, unlimited strips, and coaching.
Eligible Members The program is offered to you and your family members with diabetes covered under the WMHIP medical plan.
Here are some of the benefits of this program:
- More Than a Standard Meter: The Livongo meter is connected and provides real-time tips and automatically uploads your blood glucose readings, making log books a thing of the past.
- Unlimited Strips at No Cost to You: Get as many strips and lancets as you need with no hidden costs. When you are about to run out, Livongo ships more supplies, right to your door.

Hinge
Hinge is a virtual exercise therapy clinic available at no cost to WMHIP enrolled employees and their family members searching for joint and muscle pain solutions. Hinge provides those enrolled with a personalized care team able to analyze their movements using their smart phone or tablet, and in turn offers programs, exercises, and resources specific to each member’s needs. These tools help members recover from injuries, prepare for or avoid surgery, and stay pain free.

Maven delivers free, virtual care and support for services such as pregnancy, postpartum, newborn care and family building. You and your partner can meet with providers anytime day or night so you can get the care you need, when you need it. Work with your personalized care ream to overcome barriers to the care you need.
