Update - June 8, 2020

We are excited to have you participate in the 2020 State of Michigan Motorcycle Training Program.  There are several things we want you to know, so your class will be safe and enjoyable.  Please take the time to read this information in advance and let us know if you have any questions.

Scottsville:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to get all your paperwork completed.

What you need to know

1.  Please make sure you bring your ecourse completion code from the online class.  You can bring this printed, or show us a picture on your phone when you check in.

2.  To ensure your safety, our staff's safety, and to meet the requirements of the Michigan Safe Restart program, you will be required to wear face covering while you are in the program any time you will be within 6 feet of another person.  There is approximately 1.5 hours of the class where you will be sitting down working on activities and later taking a written test where we know that will occur.  When you are riding the training motorcycles you will be wearing your helmet and we will not require you to wear a mask unless you want to.  Bandanas are considered an acceptable "mask" covering.

3.  You will be required to complete a GRCC health screening form and an MSF screening form.  We have attached those to this email so you can read them over in advance.  If you have the ability to print them at home and complete them, it will save you time when checking in for the class.  These completed forms are a requirement to participate in the training class.

4.  Please bring a portable chair to sit on for the range class.

5.  Please bring water and a snack for yourself.  We will be unable to provide water onsite this year due to COVID-19 concerns.

6.  Please bring a pen to use.

7.  You may want to bring a clipboard to help you complete forms and to take notes.

8.  Please make sure you review the list you received when you registered regarding clothing for the program.  Rain suits are allowed.

  • Note: At the end of each class period we will be sanitizing the motorcycles for your safety.

If you believe you cannot participate in the class because you cannot agree to the information listed above, you must notify GRCC, by email to workforcetraining@grcc.edu by the Wednesday before your class is scheduled in order to receive a refund.

Thank you again.  Let's all be safe!
