All Ford Fieldhouse members will need a RaiderCard to access the Fieldhouse and Recreation Center.
The Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse provides a wide range of opportunities for GRCC students, faculty, staff and the community.
Recreation Center
Grand Opening on Aug. 25!
Come explore our newly-renovated facilities! The Recreation Center features an indoor walking path, new locker rooms, a fitness center (cardio/weights), a multipurpose gym, turf field, study nooks and collaboration space.
Fitness Center
Description: Has cardio equipment, selectorized equipment and free weight equipment.
Location: Recreation Center - Ground Level
Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Friday: 6 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Saturday/Sunday: closed
Turf Field
Location: Recreation Center - First Level
Hours: Coming soon.
Lockers
All lockers are considered day-use only, and users should come prepared with their own locks. Items may not be kept in lockers overnight.
Study Areas
Description: There are two community lounges, three individual study spaces, and three rooms that fit 4-6 people. All of these spaces are first come, first serve.

The Fieldhouse features basketball courts, volleyball courts and an indoor track.

Fieldhouse Locker Rooms
Description: These locker rooms are for student-athletes, faculty, or staff members only.
Location: Inside Raider Strength and Conditioning Center.

- Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Friday: 6 a.m.-5 p.m.
Memberships
Your Fieldhouse Membership grants you access to all areas of the Recreation Center and some areas to the Fieldhouse.
- Students: Must be currently enrolled in at least one credit (no Fieldhouse membership application required).
- GRCC Staff and Faculty: Must be currently employed or currently teaching classes.
- Dependents of Staff and Faculty: Must be 18 years and older and provide proof of dependency.
- Golden Raiders: Must have formally retired from GRJC/GRCC.
- Community Members: Must be 18 years or older.
- Alumni: Must have completed 30 or more credits at GRCC.
Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse Rules
- This is a controlled facility. To gain entry, please present a personal valid RaiderCard. Users are expected to read and adhere to all posted rules and instructions for each specific activity area.
- Participants must be 18 years or older to utilize the equipment in the Ford Fieldhouse (FFH).
- Consult a physician before engaging in physical activity. The FFH is not responsible for accidents or injuries that occur due to the nature of the activity.
- Report injuries, accidents or equipment failures immediately to FFH staff.
- Participants must wear appropriate athletic apparel, including nonrevealing shirts, athletic shorts or pants and closed toe/closed heal athletic shoes.
- For safety reasons, all personal belongings must be placed in storage lockers. GRCC is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
- Equipment is not to be removed from activity areas and must be used for its intended purpose.
- Tobacco, food, glass bottles, cans, alcohol, drugs or weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited.
- Use of bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, hover boards and drones are prohibited inside the Ford Fieldhouse.
- Only service animals are allowed in the facility.
- Headphones must be used while listening to personal music.
- Use of cameras and video equipment are prohibited.
- Advertising or promotional materials must be pre-approved by FFH Operations Team and placed in authorized locations only.
- Only qualified staff hired by a GRCC department may provide exercise instruction or private training.
- Any scheduled group activity must be pre-approved and scheduled in advance by the Fieldhouse Operations Team.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- The on-duty supervisors have authority over all activity and may expel a user for failure to follow instructions.
Recreation Center - Fitness Center Rules
General Rules
- Participation is “at your own risk.” In the event of an emergency please contact Fieldhouse staff or dial 911. If there is damaged equipment, contact Fieldhouse staff.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old or older to utilize the equipment in the Ford Fieldhouse.
- Participants must wear appropriate athletic apparel, including nonrevealing shirts, athletic shorts or pants and closed toe/closed heal athletic shoes. No jeans, slacks or studded clothing on upholstered seats.
- For safety reasons, all personal belongings must be placed in storage lockers. GRCC is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Only plastic, non-glass or reusable water bottles are acceptable.
Weight Lifting Guidelines:
- Use locks and collars on all bars.
- Return all equipment and weight plates to their proper location after each use. Do not take equipment out of the area.
- Use a spotter when necessary.
- Use of chalk and powder is prohibited.
- Always wipe down the equipment after use.
- Maintain control of your weights at all times. No dropping of weights!
- Always work out at your own fitness level and ask FFH staff for assistance, if necessary.
Gymnasium (courts) and Track Rules

- Participants must be at least 18 years old to utilize the facility.
- Appropriate athletic apparel including nonrevealing shirts, athletic shorts or pants and closed toed/closed heel athletic shoes are required to be worn. Non marking shoes are required.
- For safety reasons, all personal belongings need to be placed in lockers. GRCC is not responsible for any belongings lost or stolen.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated in the facility.
- Only plastic, non-glass, or reusable water bottles are acceptable.
- No dunking or hanging on the rim during open recreational play.
- Please return all of your rented equipment to the upstairs Welcome Desk.
- Adhere to the directional signs for the particular day. All running and walking should be in one direction.
- Walkers should take the inside two lanes only. Passing should be done on the outside lanes. Patrons with strollers abide by this rule. Infants/toddlers need to remain in the stroller at all times.
- While on the track lanes, all users must be moving and not stopping or watching play.
- Use caution when changing lanes and when entering or leaving the track.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Locker Room Rules
- In the event of an emergency please contact Fieldhouse (FFH) staff or dial 911. If there is damaged equipment, contact FFH staff.
- Cell phone or photographic equipment use is not allowed in locker rooms.
- Please report suspicious activity to the FFH staff.
- Please dry in the drying area, near the showers. Locker room floors may be slippery.
- For safety reasons, all personal belongings must be placed in storage lockers. GRCC is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
- All lockers are “day use only” and available on a first come first served basis.
- All lockers are the property of GRCC. A fee will be assessed for locker damage caused by negligence or abuse.
- Fieldhouse staff reserve the right to check lockers for equipment or to resolve safety/security concerns. Users will be notified, if possible, should this occur.
- Please clean up after yourself.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
