Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) is committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Students, employees, and community members are encouraged to report concerns involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, stalking, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual exploitation, or other conduct prohibited by College policy.

How to Report a Concern

Reports may be submitted through the following methods:

What Happens After a Report Is Submitted?

When a report is submitted with contact information, a member of the Office of Institutional Equity will follow up to discuss concerns, available support options, and resolution processes.

  • Supportive Measures: Academic accommodations, no-contact directives, workplace adjustments, and referrals to campus and community resources are available regardless of whether a formal complaint is filed.
  • Options for Resolution: Submitting a report does not require participation in an investigation. Individuals may request support, an informal resolution, or a formal investigation at any time.
  • Protection from Retaliation: Retaliation for reporting or participating in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will be addressed promptly.

Mandatory Reporting Requirements

Most GRCC employees, including student-employees, are required to report known information regarding potential violations of College policy involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or sexual misconduct.

Licensed Professional Counselors acting within their confidential role are exempt from mandatory reporting requirements.

If you have questions regarding your reporting obligations, please contact the Office of Institutional Equity.
