(She/Her) Education: North Park University (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) and University of Michigan (Master of Social Work) Professional Interests: anxiety, perfectionism, social justice, stress management, relationship concerns, identity formation, self-esteem/confidence, life transitions, career exploration, attention/concentration difficulties, trauma, women’s issues, depression, and emotional regulation Therapeutic Approach: In working with students, I am extremely committed to creating a space where you feel seen, heard, accepted and understood. I strive to cater my approach to your unique needs, goals and identities by drawing on a variety of therapeutic models. However, I am person-centered, meaning I view you as the expert in your own experience and myself as a facilitator and guide. I also like to work together with students to explore and consider what external factors (such as social, political, environmental, familial influences) may be contributing to their inner experience, and I enjoy utilizing a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to help students set and accomplish their unique goals. My favorite part of therapy is the freedom it can offer, the permission it gives us to care for ourselves, and the impact this can have on our quality of life. I truly enjoy the journey of getting to know students and consider it a gift to be with them as they discover and learn more about themselves. Personal Interests: crafting, hiking, reading, learning, baking, exploring, the beach, coffee, photography, college basketball, and spending time with family and friends
