Brianna Greenough
Bri’s career experience is rooted in hospitality, education, and helping others succeed. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a focus in Meeting and Event Management from Grand Valley State University, she began her career in roles that emphasized service, organization, and people-first experiences—ranging from working as a Disney World Cast Member to coordinating weddings. Her passion for student success began at GVSU, where she served as a student leader for new student orientation. After moving back to Michigan from Florida, she launched her higher education career at Grand Rapids Community College in the Ford Fieldhouse. Inspired to deepen her impact, Bri went on to earn a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from GVSU. Following graduation, she became a Success Coach in the College Success Center, where she supported students in overcoming barriers, developing college success strategies, and advocating for their own educational journeys. Today, Bri channels all of these experiences into her role as an Academic Advisor, where she helps students clarify their goals, navigate challenges, and pursue opportunities that inspire them. Her favorite part of advising is getting to know each student and serving as their personal cheerleader throughout their academic journey at GRCC. Nothing brings her more joy than seeing her students succeed and achieve their goals. Outside of advising, Bri enjoys spending time with friends, exploring Grand Rapids through local events and spontaneous adventures, taking her dog Rey to try out different “pup cups,” reading, and organizing just about anything.
