Maintain Your Aid

How to Keep and Manage Your Financial Aid

Maintaining Financial Aid Eligibility

To continue receiving financial aid at GRCC, students must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements, as outlined by federal regulations.

Note: SAP rules for Job Training students are different than those for students in credit-hour programs. Learn more about  Job Training SAP.

How to Stay Eligible for Financial Aid

To keep your financial aid, be sure to:

  1. Complete at least 67% of all attempted credits
  2. Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  3. Finish your program within 150% of the required credit hours
(Example: For a 60-credit program, you must finish within 90 credits)

Why It Matters

If you do not meet SAP requirements, you could lose your financial aid. However, you may be eligible to submit a SAP Appeal if you’ve experienced extenuating circumstances.
