Grand Rapids Community College is committed to assisting all members of our community in providing for their own safety and security. The Annual Security Report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, campus police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. The report also contains information about crime data for three previous calendar years. Statistics include reported crimes which occurred on campus, in certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by GRCC, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by law and is provided by the Grand Rapids Community College Police Department.
A copy of the GRCC's Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for review. This report is required by the federal law and contains statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain non-campus buildings or property owned and controlled by GRCC; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The ASR also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual misconduct, emergency procedures, and other matters.
