School of Health Sciences

With a degree or certificate from the School of Health Sciences, you’ll be prepared to start an in-demand career that gives back to the community.

Turn your compassion into a career

Our fully accredited programs provide rigorous instruction to prepare you for a fulfilling career in your chosen field. While many of our students are career-ready after graduation or certification, our students also go on to prestigious four-year colleges and universities to advance their learning.

Go beyond theory with interactive learning

Our labs offer advanced technologies that allow you to practice the care you’ll provide in the real world. In our state-of-the-art learning spaces, you can simulate sessions with mannequins that respond and talk – and even deliver a baby. Or you can apply your skills in the community, like our Occupational Therapy Assistant students who created a program for young students at a local elementary school, or like our dental students who work on volunteer patients under the supervision of real-world dentists that teach at GRCC.

Learn on location

In many of our health programs, you’ll participate in clinicals that take place in area hospitals and healthcare settings. You’ll make connections with other professionals in your field and learn what your career looks like outside of the classroom.

If you are pursuing a career-focused degree or certificate, you can take advantage of internship placement, financial assistance and more through GRCC’s Occupational Support Program.

What an opportunity and blessing that I got to study here, close to home and work. I am able to manage classes and four busy kids with all the responsibilities of being a wife and mother.
