Why Exercise Science at GRCC?

Mission: To educate and positively impact the health, well-being, and knowledge of students and the community by offering academic course work, outreach, and practical learning opportunities.

  • You will learn how exercise, nutrition, weight control, and stress-management promote health, and how to relate those skills into workplace safety and wellness practices.
  • Your studies will include the causes, prevention and management of disease.
  • You will gain knowledge of general anatomy, physiology and biomechanics to customize exercise programs for fitness, metabolism and weight control.
  • Your degree program is built to give you a seamless transfer to earn a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university.
