GRCC offers two types of Police Academy programs: a semester track police academy and regional track police academy.
Which Program is Right for You?
Semester Track Program (2 Semesters)
Who can apply: Anyone with or without a degree or needs financial aid. Students must finish required nine prerequisite courses before starting the Police Academy.
- When: August ā April (Fall and Winter)
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with the occasional weekend courses that we will provide in advance for firearms, tactical first aid and emergency vehicle operations.
- Financial aid eligible
- Earn a Law Enforcement, A.A.A.S. and Police Academy Certificate

Regional Academy (16-Weeks)
Who can apply: Anyone with a college degree or actively sponsored/employed by a law enforcement agency.
- When: January ā April
- Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday, around 40 hrs/week with occasional weekends)
- Cost: $9,000 (not eligible for financial aid)

GRCC offers MCOLES testing to enrolled and non-enrolled students including:
- Physical Agility Test
- Pre-Enrollment Physical Fitness Test
- Reading and Writing
