The Baking and Pastry Arts program grants a certificate of completion.
This program appeals to the professional chef or manager who wishes to broaden his or her understanding of the foodservice industry and to students whose career focus calls for more intensive study in areas such as bread, pastries, chocolates, desserts and sugar work.
The Baking and Pastry Arts certificate program includes hands-on laboratory courses in baking, pastries, cake decorating, advanced pastries, wedding cakes, and showpieces.
The certificate program requires approximately 30 hours of class time per week.
Please note: Courses in the Baking and Pastry Arts program may require class field trips and or travel to internship sites. Students are responsible for their own transportation and any cost associated with travel to the field trip sites and/or internship sites.
